E6013 WELDING ELECTRODE

The 6013 is a High Titania Potassium rod, it can be used on AC, DCEN, and DCEP currents with a final tensile strength of 60,000 psi. It is a fill freeze, all-position electrode with low to medium penetration and a stable arc which results in its aesthetically beautiful welds and a dense slag that is easily removable.

”"

E6013 electrodes have a soft arc with low penetrating power, & fast freezing slag. Due to this, there can be a lack of penetration in the fillet weld joint with insuffcient root fusion.

E6013 electrode is the most widely used stick welding electrodes for sheet metal, general fabrication & structural welding work.

Structural steel welding rods

Welding rod E6013 is a structural steel welding rod with the following characteristics and applications: 12

Its coating is acidic, including high titanium potassium type coating, with a diameter generally between 1.6 and 5.8mm.

E6013 welding rod has excellent welding performance and stable arc, suitable for connecting AC and DC electricity.

Its characteristics are easy slag removal, less prone to splashing, and the weld seam is fine and beautiful.

E6013 welding rod is suitable for welding materials such as steel plates and thin plates, especially for intermittent welding and cover welding.

In addition, there are two main types of E6013 welding rods:

Carbon steel welding rod with titanium oxide coating, this type of welding rod can be used for all position welding, both AC and DC.

Low alloy steel welding rods have three specifications of core diameter: 3.2/2.5/4.0mm, and the coating properties are alkaline.

In summary, E6013 welding rod is a high-quality choice widely used in structural steel welding, with wide applicability and good welding performance.
